"Design a Deck" competition!!

We've been thinking about this one

for a while now at The Boardroom and just in time for summer, we're running the first "Design a Deck" competition.
We've never had a shop deck before, so rather than come up with something naff we figured we'd give our valued customers and friends the opportunity to design the very first Boardroom deck.

Now, rather than getting a bit of free design work done, we figured that an awesome prize was in order.
So, the winner of this competition will get their design built up into a complete skateboard to the value of 200 euro!
That basically means you can get a pro level build (wheels, bearings, trucks, the lot!) with your own graphic on it... Not too shabby.

General guidelines (the boring part): 

Your design must be within 8.5 x 32.5 inches.
A maximum of 5 colours.
If you are sending a file, it must be in CMYK colour format. 
It must be 300 dpi (digital pixels per inch) 
It would be preferable if your design included the Boardroom's classic "tattoo" logo. You can either email us for this logo or re-interpret it and make it your own. It doesn't have to be the focus of the deck either, but we'd like this deck to represent the shop a bit! (this logo can be seen at the very bottom of this page.)
Your final design must be either sent to us via email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or if it is not a digital file delivered to the shop in person.
It is really important that there are NO copyright images used unless they are your own. We can't afford those kind of bills!

The good part!!

So, now that we've covered the details, what's the scoop?
We want you to get creative and make a deadly looking Boardroom deck. 
There's no set theme, so you don't have to get tied down on any idea or image. You can make it as weird, funny, simple or serious as you like.

It can be made in any medium. You could do an etching. Play around with some photographs. Get the crayons out. Collage. Illustrate. Do an oil painting. If carving is your thing, then carve. A creepy family photograph that you've always thought would make for a sick deck. The options are endless... well, as long as the options are 5 colours! Think outside the box, we can't wait to see what comes in.

But seriously, try anything, as long as it can be scanned/photographed or is a digital file, it's in the running! 

The deadline is from now (the 12th of April) until Saturday the 12th of May. This gives you a month, so get cracking.
