1. Name / Age / Hometown?

Matt Gillespie / 25 / Belfast.

2. What do you do for work?

I have quite a few jobs / roles in my day to day work life. My hobbie is my job now so every day is related to what I've grown up enjoying.
I'm responsible for T13, Ramprage and Belfast Urban Sports with a few others.
A typical day might involve any of the following: Coaching sessions, maintanence work , ramp building / designing, skatepark duties , set up and ride Demo's, computer work , meetings and all the other duties that go along with running the companies.

4. What do you do for fun?

Take the piss , customise things, ride BMX, laugh, being sarcastic

5. What's your first memory of bmx?

Seeing BMX bikes appear every few days in our garage that my brother would come across and fix up for himself and his friends. Then they would head to the local BMX track and just blast about, i think i was about 6 or 7.

6.What the last hard/scary thing you did on your bike?

I got so pumped seeing a friend send himself recently and land his trick that i just sent a backflip for a laugh and rolled away haha! i havent tried one in about 8 years

8. What kinda music do you listen to?

Depending on the time of day determines the music , but when im out its electro and good beats all the way to throw some shapes to !

9. Energy drink or water?

Water is essential but im drinkin alot of cheap energy drinks these days .........

10. 5 star hotel or camping on the beach?

They both serve their purpose , the beach for chills and good times. Hotel for work related trips.

11. Best advice you've ever received?

I've heard a few good pieces of advice over the years. Never be afraid to change your mind , plan things ....... , get a diary and write it down, drink more water

12. Any plans for the future?

Continue with what i'm doing until i reach the Goal ! Own a house with a backyard set up, own a RS 500 Focus be happy and no regrets.

13. Bmx Memories?

- Photo with Matt hoffman , i had no tee shirt on , was pretty blocked and was badly sunburned..... i must have freaked him out
-seeing bret benesawich do a no handed cash roll at simpel session 2011 , everyone went nuts!
- Road trips to the mainland with the locals, so many stories and crazy things went down on and off the bike
- going on street missions with mikey when i was younger , we'd go to a new town most weekends to find a new rail and just send it......good times
